X-Mas eve

Here in St. Louis with my wifes family and playing "Lego Racers" with Alan. Alan is 7 and very smart. Marrissa is watching, Marissa is Alan's sister. She is like cinderella and smart too. They are ready for the day to end so Santa will come.

I have been attempting to do what I thought to be a simple task. Of course simple being the key word I am jinxed. I wanted to show my RAW images on a HDTV. IT was sold to me as a monitor. I am blown away at how fast an electronic device becomes a legacy item. Trying to get a correct configuration reminds me of attemting to set up my first VCR or the first time I had to change the time on my digital wacth that can tell you the time anywhere in the world and I think the moon also. I am dealing with the DVI, HDMI,VGA, Composite, Component connections. Then of course attempting to get the video card setup also.

I think it will work one day after all the salesman said it would work just fine "All you got to do is plug it in"

corp crime

Another example of capitalism in corp america. many companies now are bailing on the pension plans of the retired workers. Of course the "board" does not suffer. Until we hold the corporate owners accountable this will continue. Idividuals should not be able to hide under the corporate umbrella, they should be accountable for the actions.

reality

I made a big step today in my life, I sold my dirt bike:( The reality of sore joints and the prolonged time it takes to heal from minor falls have forced me to use better judgement. This makes me scared now that there is no turning back now and time will turn even faster. Oh well I have been so lucky why push it. BTW I am going snowboarding in Jan!!!

contractors

Another day with contractors. I can't wait until the building boom is over! You hire a contractor who hires another who then finds somebody to pretend to work. I had 4 men (boyzzzzzzzz, real men would work) show up today but one broke a nail so they all left in a tizzy.

At first I would pay by the completed job then it went to once a week to once a day. I think the next guy will need to get paid every hour.

Fall

Since in Florida we dont really have a season change I thought this reminded me of the fall colors. We just had a cold front come through and the air was clear. This was taken at SPOT.

Why

I decided to have my own place away from my commercial work. I feel that I do not have as much freedom as I do with a blog. Well I feel old but now I am a blogger so that has to be cool.
Just knowing I can blog takes years off my life.
